The Plurinational State of Bolivia
The diplomatic relation between the Republic of Indonesia and the Plurinational State of Bolivia was established in 1963 and in the same year, Bolivia appointed Mario Sanjines Uriart as the first ambassador to Indonesia, who resided in New Delhi. Due to a change in the government administration, Mario Sanjines Uriart resigned and in 1964, was replaced by Quiro Galda who was also unable to convey credentials to the President of Indonesia. Further on, Bolivia appointed its ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, Carlos Iturralda as the Bolivian Ambassador to Indonesia, who conveyed his credentials to the President of Indonesia in June 1977.
Since 2001, the Bolivian embassy in China has been accredited to the Republic of Indonesia. For the time being, Yosef Berty Fernandez has been appointed as the ambassador of extraordinary and plenipotentiary for the Republic of Perú and the Plurinational State of Bolivia. He conveyed a letter of credential to the presiden of the Plurinational State of Bolivia in La Paz, on 2 June 2010.
