On Friday 6 August 2021, the Indonesian Embassy in Lima held a Sports Day in order to welcome the 76th Indonesian Independence Day and celebrate National Children’s Day which falls on 23 July 2021. This Sports Day was attended by all staff of the Indonesian Embassy in Lima and their families, Indonesian people in Peru especially in Lima and Friends of Indonesia.
The activity was opened by the Indonesian Ambassador in Lima, Ms. Marina Estella Anwar Bey, who in her speech thanked the participants for attending and conveyed that because it is still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic, sports activities cannot be carried out with all Indonesian people in Peru, but must remain enthusiastic. and exercise needs to be done to maintain health. The event was continued with Physical Health Gymnastics led by Protkons function staff then Aerobic Gymnastics led by the Indonesian Ambassador Lima which was attended by all participants. In this activity, competitions and games were also held, including Table Tennis, Gaple and Darts, which were attended by all participants who were divided into 3 groups.
In addition to welcoming the 76th Indonesian Independence Day, the Indonesian Embassy in Lima Sports Day was also held to enliven National Children’s Day which falls on July 23, 2021. There are several children’s games held, including Marble Race and Cup Toss. 10 Indonesian and Peruvian games participated in the children’s games. All children were given medals and souvenirs as an appreciation and appreciation for their participation.
The Indonesian Embassy in Lima Sports Day closed with the announcement of the group that became the champion after they managed to collect the most points from the various games contested and the distribution of prizes to the winners.
